Lake Wissota Animal Hospital has been serving the community since 1991, offering exceptional medical and surgical services, as well as dental, behavioral, chiropractic, ultrasound, nutrition, and boarding services. We are equipped with a full in-house diagnostic laboratory, ultrasound, therapy laser, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and a state-of-the-art surgical suite. Our newly built hospital contains central oxygen, an active scavenge gas system, separate dog and small mammal waiting areas, five exam rooms, two outdoor porch areas, is Cat Friendly Silver Certified, and built to AAHA standards for future accreditation. We pride ourselves on a family oriented atmosphere with our clients, patients, and team members.

Your mission

Your first mission will to be assist the owner/doctors to organize and oversee activities and production in every department. Provide outstanding and exceptional care to patients while maintaining a professional working environment.

Required technical skills

  • Educating our clients on animal health.
  • Proficient computer skills with Impromed software for scheduling appointments, data entry into the medical record and ordering lab tests.
  • Proficient phone etiquette.
  • Radiographs, blood draws, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, assisting in surgery, nursing care of sick patients, dental prophy’s, preforming lab tests.

Required Personality characteristics

Your mission: 

Your primary mission will be to provide exceptional boarding care while maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable facility for beloved pets while they are away from home.  

Required technical skills: 

  • Exercising boarding animals 
  • Knowledge of proper animal behavior, animal handling and care. 
  • Administering medications 
  • Cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, laundry, scrubbing kennels 
  • Monitoring boarding pets for behavioral and medical issues 
  • Ability to work in all outdoor conditions 
  • Generalized animal knowledge preferred but not required and should have the ability to learn quickly while on the job.
